I'm starting to get abs! We've been doing a lot of core in cross country this year. I still feel awed when I look at myself in the mirror everyday. I always ask people to feel my abs, too, I'm such a jock now. I'm only allowed to run twice a week due to injury, so the rest of the time I've been on the stationary bike. This week we start pool workouts, which I'm going to continue for as long as the swim team is using the pool, or at least for the six weeks following the end of the season when I'm not allowed to run AT ALL. So yeah, by the time the swim season is over (in January/February), I'm going to be MEGA STRONG, because water running/sprinting/gliding/drilling is crazy difficult, and hopefully I'm going to be at least near the runner I wanted to be.
